Photos of our time in The United Kingdom
Greetings and welcome to our scrapbook.  If you found this site you must be a friend or family member of Brian, Michele, Jessica, Anthony or our soon to be new puppy "Hanna Lizabeth." On this site we will post up-dates of our days in the United Kingdom, to include photos and text explaining what our family is up to. Clicking on the images will allow you to see them full size. We hope you enjoy them...
London's Tower Bridge Michele and Tower Bridge
Walking up the Thames River we got to see some wonderful sites. Michele enjoyed the bridge the most because she has recently purchased a small Tower Bridge collectable for her new display case. Now she can say she has been there.
Our first big trip in the UK was to London. We spent most of one day riding the subway and walking among the busy streets.  Our highlight of the day was seeing the Tower Bridge. (11 Nov 01)
Streets of London
S Belfast
Before walking along the Thames we rode the Subway and walked the busy streets of London. Jessica enjoyed the shopping at Picadilly Circus and the busy streets. Behind her is another of London's well known sites a double decker tour bus.
Anthony enjoyed looking at this British warship, "The HMS Belfast." He wanted both of his Grandpas to see this photo because they both have an interest in ships. The Belfast saw action in WWII and last in the Korean conflict. Today it is one of the many sights to see along the Thames.
London Eye
London Bridge
Our last stop of the day was a flight on the London Eye...Flight you ask? Yes at over 135 meters tall the London Eye is the worlds largest Ferris Wheel. This photo I took off the official website
London's Tower Bridge completed in 1894, after 8 years of construction. For information on this unique bridge cut and copy this link into your Web Browser: www.towerbridge.org.uk/
Red Telephone booth
London Eye at night
Our flight on the London Eye came at night. Taking 30 minutes to make one trip up and down you are able to see all of London's historic landmarks. In the middle right of this photo you can see Parliament and the circular face of "Big Ben". To the middle left you can see the outline of the capsule ahead of us as we reached the peak of the wheel. Yes I took this photo, its a little dark but wow what a sight...
Prior to our trip to London, the kids and I were on base (RAF Mildenhall) and ran into another of Britain's well-known features: The red telephone booth... This is a classic.
